1. Books & Certificates Page Overview
The CBT Books tab provides a summary of all your books in the system—showing their statuses, how many certificates have been issued, and the starting and ending certificate numbers—and lets you click into any book to issue certificates.
The main Certificates dashboard offers a comprehensive overview of every CBT certificate within its associated CBT book.

Certificate Status Labels:
| Ready to Return | Certificate is complete and ready for final processing |
| Pending | Certificate is awaiting completion or verification |
| Void | Certificate has been voided |
| Sent | Certificate has been successfully submitted to DVSA |
2. Steps of Adding CBT Books & Certificates
CBT Books are batches of certificates submitted together to the DVSA. To issue certificates, you must first add a CBT Book to the system.
2.1 How to Add a CBT Book:

Go to CBT Books in the sidebar

Click Add new CBT Book

Select your site

Enter the starting certificate number

Click Add
2.2 Issuing CBT Certificates

To issue a certificate:

Fill in student and course details:
-
Student name and driving licence number
-
Course date, start/end time (HH:mm)

Transmission type (Manual/Automatic)

Select instructor
-
Apply restrictions if needed (e.g. eyesight correction, daylight only)

Click Issue Certificate, Certificate moves to "Ready to Return" status
2.3 Editing or Voiding Certificates
a. Edit a Certificate:
-
Only before submission
-
Use the Change action
- Cannot edit submitted certificates
b. Void a Certificate:
-
- Click "Void" action next to certificate
- Confirm voiding action
- Certificate status changes to "Void"
3. Issuing a Duplicate Certificate
If you need to issue a duplicate certificate, follow the standard certificate creation process, but with the following additional steps:

On the form, scroll to the Category Restrictions section.

Select "71 - Duplicate of license" from the dropdown.

At the very bottom of the form, tick the checkbox "Mark as Duplicate".

Once completed, click Issue to generate the duplicate certificate.
🔁 This process ensures the system flags the certificate correctly as a duplicate of an existing one.

📤 4. Submitting Book to DVSA
The final step in the CBT certification process involves submitting certificate books to DVSA for official processing.

Make sure all certificates are marked Ready to Return
- Verify all required information is complete

Click Submit to DVSA on the book

Confirm submission
After submission:

Book status becomes Submitted
-
Certificate statuses update to Sent
-
DVSA receives the submitted book
-
A copy of book will also be send to main account's e-mail adress
