💳 Taking Payment from Direct Orders

This guide explains how to take payment for Direct Orders directly from Connect using the Take Payment Feature. You can now collect payment without leaving the rider profile, reducing delays, admin work, and missed payments.

What Is “Direct Payment Feature”

When you add a rider manually to a course, you can now take payment immediately from the customer

No more:

  • Saving the rider, Creating invoices elsewhere

  • Chasing payments through different tools 

Everything happens in same place, easy, you get 100% of payment to your stripe account directly.



What Payment Methods Are Available?

When you click Take Payment, you’ll see three payment options:

📧 Send Payment Link
💳 Manual Card Entry
💵 Cash

🧭 How Do I Take Payment on Connect?

After adding a rider to the course

📍 You’ll see “Take Payment Button” in two places:

🔹 Contact Summary: A “Take Payment” link below the notes
🔹 Contact Details Page: A primary Take Payment button at the top



💳 Step 1: Open Payment Options

1️⃣ Open the rider’s Contact page
2️⃣ Click Take Payment
3️⃣ A modal opens showing:

  • 📧 Send Payment Link

  • 💳 Manual Card Entry

  • 💵 Cash

📧 Option 1: Send Payment Link (Email)

Use this when you want the rider to pay online themselves.

How It Works

1️⃣ Select Send Payment Link
2️⃣ Review the rider and course details
3️⃣ Confirm: 📧 Email address (prefilled),  💰 Amount (prefilled, editable)
4️⃣ Click Send link

What Happens Next?

✅ A secure Stripe payment link is emailed to the rider
✅ Invoice appears in the rider’s Invoices section
✅ When rider pay using the link, you receive the amount to your stripe account directly.   

💳 Option 2: Manual Card Entry

Use this when taking payment over the phone or in person.

How It Works

1️⃣ Select Manual Card Entry
2️⃣ Enter card details:
- Cardholder name, Card number, Expiry date, CVV
3️⃣ Confirm the amount
4️⃣ Click Pay now

What Happens Next?

✅ Card is charged via Stripe
✅ Invoice is created and marked Paid
✅ Payment appears in the Invoices section, you receive the amount to your stripe account directly.

💵 Option 3: Cash Payment

Use this to record offline payments accurately in Connect and track your accounts.

Recording Cash

1️⃣ Enter the cash amount received
2️⃣ Click Add

Payment Status Rules

  • 💯 Full amount → Paid
    ➗ Partial amount → Partially Paid
    Remaining balance is calculated automatically

✅ Cash transaction is recorded
✅ Contact payment status updates
